Barrie is an absolute rockstar of a photographer. He shot our small registry wedding in Central London. He captured all our moments perfectly with the right mix of natural and posed photos, knew exactly how to interact and command the crowd to get great photos whilst comfortably being in the background. The outcome is amazing, we are very happy with our shots, and can recommend Barrie to anyone looking for a wedding photographer.

I can not say enough good things about Barrie and our engagement photo experience. From the first second we met him at the airport, we felt absolutely comfortable with him. He's so easy going and friendly that it's impossible not to like him. As my fiance and I have never been professionally photographed, we were both nervous about what to expect and how we would look.

All those worries were unnecessary because Barrie directed us brilliantly into a series of poses that looked natural and yielded some incredible photographs. To say we were blown away by the quality of work and the overall experience is an absolute understatement. Barrie is SO talented and has such an eye for detail - his work is truly magnificent.

Barrie was the most amazing photographer. Good sense of humour so made us feel completely at ease. We had an engagement shoot as well which I strongly recommend - he made us feel so comfortable. Barrie Downie is a GENIUS. From the moment I spoke to him on the phone to interview him I knew he was the right man for the job. He is incredibly knowledgeable on lighting and also very passionate. From the moment he arrived he made everyone feel comfortable. He knew all the best angles for photographs as soon as he arrived. Even though the flat was small and dark the photos he took here were excellent.

As I got dressed he took a few modelled shots which made it look like I actually knew how to put on a suit. Thanks for that Barrie. At the wedding his attention to detail was uncomperable. As well as getting excellent photos of the ceremony, several group shots, and some great modelled photos of my new wife and I around our venue, he also got so many photos of our friends and family chatting which really captured the feel of the day.

If you're looking for a wedding photographer, spend the extra money and hire a professional. I would recommend Barrie Downie a thousand times over to anyone who needed a photographer.

I don't know where to begin. Barrie captured the best day of our lives in a way I didn't think was possible! I dislike having my photo taken normally but he made me and everyone, feel so relaxed it was easy. It was a misty day on our wedding day and for the combination of the mist and the extremely talented Barrie we will be forever grateful - our outdoor photographs speak for themselves. We are hugely impressed by Barrie's creativity, professionalism and artistic flair. We are so lucky we found him. He was a smooth operator and ran the show with complete confidence.
