Paul Walker Images is dedicated to delivering a consistent level of photography and a high degree of customer service. This has seen the successful establishment of our business over many years and, in the minds of our customers, a company that can be trusted. We are an Ayrshire based, independent, family-run photography business that was established in 2004.
In addition to our established wedding photography service, we also provide family and children's portrait photography, commercial and pet photography throughout Ayrshire, Glasgow, Edinburgh and central Scotland. Our dedicated galleries to children and family portraiture, commercial photography and pets will provide you with a sample of other types of photography that we are regularly commissioned for.
As a camera-shy couple, we were apprehensive at the task of choosing our wedding photographer! However, it soon became apparent that Paul, and his wife Kathryn, were the perfect choice for our 'big day' at Glenapp Castle. We were immediately put at ease as Paul ran through some really handy tips about how we should pose and, more importantly, what not to do!

My preferred style of photography is relaxed, documentary. I want the photography to capture the natural emotions of the day, rather than stiff, "out of the book", poses that generally make people feel uncomfortable.I am conscious to subtly direct where needed though, to ensure you look at your best - imagine being directly under that ceiling light all day and nobody caring to mention it to you!

Paul was the photographer at our wedding and he was absolutely incredible. He made us feel totally at ease and was diligent and professional. We had regular meetings prior to the wedding where he took the time to give us top tips and advice to get the most out of our day. We took his advice and this gave us the most time with guests, yet we still managed to get all the photographs we would like.
We felt really relaxed around him and his professionalism and personality filled us with huge confidence. We know our pictures will capture our day perfectly. Paul was absolutely brilliant on our wedding day, making me and all the guests feel really relaxed and capturing some beautiful shots of the ceremony and afterwards. He was very attentive before the day itself, consulting with us as to what kind of photos we wanted. We are thrilled with the photos and would 100% recommend Paul!

Paul photographed our intimate wedding at the beautiful Glenapp Castle, September 2021, and we have been overjoyed with the results. As we were having a marriage ceremony with just the two of us, it was of particular importance that we properly recorded the magic of the day so we could share it with our family back home. Paul did a excellent job of this - he is a composite professional who knows Glenapp like the back of his hand, and took the time to get to know us and discuss what sort of vibe we were going for.
As such he was able to capture some truly special shots that showcased the beauty of the castle, the intimacy of the ceremony, and our love for each other. Thanks so much for helping us to capture such wonderful memories, Paul!

Oh my! How to possibly do justice for this wonderful team in a review? Well, the amazing pictures speak for themselves, but what is harder to know when you are considering booking a wedding photographer is how they will be on the day. Paul and Kathryn were an absolute pleasure to have around on our wedding day. Their experience was evident throughout, offering expertise and flexibility.
I seriously think they would have kept their cool and captured amazing photos whatever delay/weather change/bridal melt down happened to occur! Thanks so much! You captured our day perfectly and it just felt like we had some extra guests with us (who happened to take great photos!)

Paul photographed our wedding in August of 2018 (apologies we didn't do this sooner Paul as you deserve the praise!) but he is AMAZING! Paul put us at ease straight away, he's friendly, funny and fantastic! We hate having our photograph taken but Paul constantly made us laugh and took such beautiful, candid photos. They were exactly what we wanted and he made the whole experience fun!
He doesn't make you pose in uncomfortable ways and he ensures it's your style. I honestly dreaded this part of the day beforehand but the time flew by and it was fun. Honestly! Kathyrn was also amazing and offered such brilliant service. They produced a wedding album that I look at over and over again. It is perfect and stylish! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Paul and Kathryn. They are such lovely people and truly made our day special, capturing each moment in beautiful photographs. As a team, they are professional, effective and seamless. With a deft, experienced hand they managed to orchestrate group shots, candid shots, arty compositions as well as never missing a moment - leaving us with a perfect and treasured reminder of our wedding day. Paul and Kathryn are a fantastic team. From start to finish we knew we were with the best. They took time to listen to what we wanted and talked us through how best to capture that. They exceeded our expectations! Our wedding was so enjoyable and relaxing as they captured everything we had asked for in the finest of detail. We can not recommend them enough. Paul and Kathryn are both incredibly professional, genuinely nice people who took so much time before and at our wedding to ensure our experience would be perfect. We first had an engagement shoot with Paul last summer, and ended up spending much longer with him than expected (he really wanted to make sure we'd get some lovely sunset shots - and did we ever!) So it went without saying that we booked him for our wedding this summer.
He took the time to sit us down before the wedding to really talk through the day and prep us on how we could get the best out of our pictures. On the day, again, Paul really kept a close eye on the weather and general surroundings in order to give us the be photos possible. We've only seen previews so far (our wedding was just 2 1/2 weeks ago), but they're absolutely stunning, and I can only recommend Paul to anyone looking for a wedding photographer in Ayrshire and surroundings.
Particularly if you're getting married at Brig o' Doon, you should go with Paul - everyone loves him there and he knows the place inside out. Can only recommend, and we'll probably be back for family portraits (and more photos of my mum's dog) in the future!

Could not be happier with the experience for our wedding photography. From start to finish, Kathryn and Paul have been so helpful and professional, and on our wedding day helped everything flow smoothly. Our photos are fantastic and we are really pleased with the quality of our album. Would highly recommend!
