I am an award-winning documentary film cameraman who has joyfully returned to his roots in stills photography. I photograph weddings, portraits, performance and celebrations.I choose not to work in a studio - all of my work is done on location, where everything that happens is shaped and coloured by the people, events, light and environment.
Because I take a personal interest in every event I photograph and enjoy making a connection with those involved, I limit the number of events that I cover in any period, but do feel free to ask about availability.

Actually, I started in film school, spent two years in the labs to get my union ticket and THEN started out filming documentaries, eventually became an award-winning documentary cameraman. Times changed, life changed, but my first love was stills photography and, after many twists and turns, that's what I've returned to and where I feel most at home.
I'm flexible and will work by the job or by the hour. Naturally, different types of work require different approaches, but I never charge for meetings or recce's because I'm prepared to invest time in interesting and original projects. For commercial and business photography, I ask 125 for the first hour and then 75 per hour, or 300 for a half day.

Barry is the best decision we made for our wedding. He was professional and very interested in getting to know who were and which kind of pictures we would like to have. With his warm smile he settled our nerves down. He is a very enjoyable person and infected all party guests with his laugh. It was a joy to work with him.
