Polish born Martin Bartnicki inherited his love of photography from his father.
In 2005 he relocated from Wroclaw, Poland to seek out further opportunities across Europe, establishing himself for a time in Northern Ireland, Greece, London and then in 2016, he moved Devon. Martin has been practicing wedding photography as a professional since 2005 but draws on a lifetime of experience and a passion for capturing the fleeting moments we hope to remember. Martin specialises as both a Devon wedding photographer and a portrait photographer, but is available for other events and occasions as may be required.
Martin has practiced his trade across Europe from Greece, Poland to Germany and the UK. His work has been featured multiple times in Polish magazine KROPKA PL, and has placed in two categories in prominent Polish photography competition FRS including 1st place in the Emotions and Action category. He has operated in a professional capacity at a number of portrait and fashion studios and has spent time organising and leading photography classes in London and Northern Ireland, finding the sharing of his photography knowledge with others personally rewarding. He has also applied his skills as a fashion photographer.
Martin's varied experience across European countries and cultures has given him a unique style and perspective in his art. With an appreciation of both people and the split second interactions between them that define their relationships and character, Martin can employ his extensive and varied experience to capture your special moments. Exeter Wedding Photography is more than just a job for Martin he thrives on connecting with and understanding his clients, particularly in his wedding photography. I live in the beautiful town of Exeter in the picturesque Devon from which you can reach Cornwall by bike. I have always been artistically inclined. I played the keyboard, the guitar, I sang, and loved to observe people and their behaviour. I wanted to somehow immortalise these occurrences, and I have always been drawn towards painting.
As a business owner, I have great insight and understanding of how important good food photography is for you, especially these days. Think if you can afford all the lost sales opportunities because a customer decided to buy 'a burger' from your competition, only because his decision was based on a better picture.
If you are looking for having your pictures taken, either by yourself, with your partner or with your family I can offer a few options. I would like to have a chat with you about the photoshoot as it is really important to choose the right location and style of the photoshoot for you. Here are the options I offer, but please feel free to ask if there is something more specific you require or would like guidance on choosing which type of photoshoot to have.This session takes one to two hours, which is plenty of time to create a beautiful set of images and to make the whole experience enjoyable.
For destination weddings, half day weddings, midweek weddings and elopements don't hesitate to get in touch. This is between 1 and 2 hour session and include 50 photographs from your session, with lots of fun, laugh and craziness, but a part of this, it's also a chance for us to meet each other. At this session you'll see how I work and I will give you some tips how to look best at your wedding photographs. Location could be at moody Dartmoor, in beautiful Cornwall, busy London or even at a waterfall in Bali (same as we did).
