Alan Hutchison has been taking photographs since he was just 6 years old when he discovered his Grandfather's box camera lurking abandoned in a long forgotten corner. By 11 years of age he had his own darkroom, and has been taking photographs ever since.
The dawn of the digital era totally re-invigorated Alan's passion for Photography and the new freedom that digital allowed saw him looking for new opportunities to photograph. He quickly found himself becoming more and more of a photojournalist, documenting and capturing the sights around him rather than artificially trying to create them.
This new freedom migrated to his Wedding Photography and brings with it a fresh contemporary look to his images that continues into the final albums that he personally designs for his clients. Although based near Stirling in central Scotland, Alan also photographs Weddings throughout Scotland and occasionally abroad.
When Alan is not photographing Weddings you can usually find him dabbling with his many computers or out with his camera in the Scottish hills, waiting for the rain to stop.
Alan is a qualified member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association, one of only 6 in Scotland to attain membership. He is also a member of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Professionals.

Welcome to the website of Alan Hutchison Photography, one of Scotland's Leading Family Portrait Studios. Located in Bannockburn, Stirling in the Heart of the Forth Valley, our family portrait studio serves Central Scotland including Glasgow and Edinburgh due to it's convenient location at the hub of Scotland's motorway network.
Portrait Photography Stirling - Alan Hutchison Photography was founded in 2009 by Alan and Morag Hutchison, the husband and wife team who quickly went on to become one of Scotland's finest and most popular wedding photography studios. Nowadays the business focuses solely on it's Portrait Photography studio in Stirling, managed by a growing team of professional photographers and creative artists.
As Family Portrait Photographers we get a chance to meet and work with some fantastic families and it is always an honour to be asked to photograph and capture their family memories. What really makes our day though is when they take the time to give us some reviews and feedback on our work. Reviews tell us how we well we are performing not only as portrait photographers, but also how good our customer service is.
We've been very fortunate to have had our photographs appear in every major national newspaper in the United Kingdom as well as appearing on TV. Our work has also been featured in numerous Wedding Magazines and Industry magazines for the professional photographer, such as Photo Professional Magazine.
Our Family Portrait Studio in Stirling can be found new Brucefields Golf Course on the A91 right beside the main Stirling Junction of the M80 and M9 Motorways. Our large heated studio has three different studio "sets" allowing us to present you with a good variety of shots during your photo session.

Alan and Morag! I can not thank you both enough for making (the groom would say) 'boring photos' section of our wedding enjoyable and entertaining ! As Richard and I both come from a hospitality background and have met many photographers in the wedding industry we assumed you would be stereotypically strict to work with - you were far from this you made the experience enjoyable, comfortable and entertaining and most importantly you were prompt and we actually had so much time to enjoy some time with guests before our meal. The photos deliver this too ! So glad we met and can't wait to meet again for any future events

We were delighted with the wedding package we recieved. From the pre-wedding photoshoot to the wedding itself it was a pleasure to work with Alan & Morag! :-) Their friendly, good natured manner made the whole process stress free and very enjoyable. We are thrilled and over the moon with our pictures from both the wedding and the pre-wedding shoot. They certainly have an eye for a great picture! We cant recommend them highly enough.
