Somerset Photographer is owned by Chris Burch working in Somerset and the surrounding Counties as well as in St Ives, Cornwall. Chris provides a friendly, relaxed and informal photography service for Weddings, Portraits and Commercial work. Her reportage style for weddings is proving increasingly popular with couples who would like their photographer to flow along with the day without long photography sessions.Chris also has a Hearts & Flowers gallery where images can be bought as prints, cards, wedding stationery and gifts as well as selling images for website use.
Somerset Photographer is unique in that there are no 'packages', enabling clients to benefit from more cost effective options. Photography for weddings and portraits is charged by the hour including an attractive presentation CD/DVD with all images taken during the time booked. There are no copyright restrictions. Albums, prints etc can be ordered at any time but there is no obligation to do so.

In 2008, I left my 9-5 desk job in search of my dream, picked up my camera and never looked back! My Style is Natural, Light, Colourful, Fun, Beautiful! Photography is a part of me, my camera always by my side. I shoot Weddings, Studio and Location Photoshoots and I am based in Glastonbury, Somerset.
I am happy to travel anywhere for the right client. I absolutely LOVE travelling to destinations around the UK and further afield. Photography is my passion and travelling around meeting new people is a lifestyle which suits me perfectly! My Destination Weddings cover all areas in the UK and Europe where possible.
My Log Cabin Studio is based at my home in Glastonbury and I Photograph Bumps, Babies, Children and Families. When you first contact me I will usually have a chat with you to discuss what you would like to achieve at your Photoshoot. I have some props that you are welcome to use but I'm always looking for the moments in between the posed shots, trying to get to the personality of the people in front of the camera, capturing the fun and laughter as well as the more formal shots smiling at the camera.
Professional Location Photoshoots are not only great fun but produce fabulous canvases for your home and make lovely presents for friends and family. Photoshoots can be booked at a place of your choice, whether an Engagement or Couple Shoot, a Walk in amongst the Bluebells, Splashing in Puddles, a Walk along the Beach or a Picnic in the Park.

Chris done a large outdoors family photo shoot for us in November. As the date was approaching we realised we were in for one of the most wettest days! Chris took the time to source a great place. The day came, despite 100% rain we went ahead & did not get wet! Chris & her partner made us all feel relaxed & took all the photos we wanted - the photos were with us within a couple of days, they turned out great... we are looking forward to our parents receiving these for Christmas 🌟 thanks again Chris

Chris and her associate were fantastic during our wedding. She spent time getting to know us prior to the day, and kept in contact regularly during the planning. Neither of them intruded on the day and they captured some very special photos which we will always enjoy. I would highly recommend The Somerset Photographer

Chris was amazing, made us very relaxed at a pre wedding shoot which I highly recommend as it made the photos in the day so much easier.

We got married yesterday and had the pleasure of having the two Chris’s with us for the day, they snapped away and were absolutely wonderful with our guests. Can not thank them or recommend highly enough, nothing was too much trouble. The day whizzed by so having a great photographer is so important to have memories.
