Sky Photography

We (finally!) got married last month and through both postponements Simon and Karla were flexible and fantastic. On the day itself, they were a calming and reassuring presence - not only taking pictures but also helping guide us through the day so we could relax and actually enjoy it. The photos they took were amazing and reflected the joy of the day - I can't recommend them highly enough.

Simon & Karla are absolutely amazing! We cannot thank Sky Photography enough for their incredible service, skills and time they have given us throughout our whole wedding experience. The photos we have received are just amazing and I think they captured our day perfectly. They made us feel so at ease in front of the camera - it was like they were part of our wedding guests. Getting ready with Karla was just so much fun.

They both provided us with so much support on the day. The detail shots that we captured were such a nice touch. I was particularly impressed with the updates we received, from reminders about payment all the way through to when our photos would be ready. What a fabulous experience! We were blown away by the quality of the photos Simon produced of our day. Initially due to the Covid restrictions we weren't going to have a photographer as they came out of the guest count. We then by accident discovered that the rules had changed (they didn't have to come out of the 30!) and then within a couple of days we had booked Simon.

We are so glad we did! He clearly has a brilliant eye. He just seemed to get so many thoughtful and candid shots. He was also incredibly calm in his manner which is so useful on a wedding day! All the people we have shown the photos to have said how brilliant they thought they were. We were lucky with the setting for our wedding (Dodmoor House), but also Simon seemed to know all the best locations within the venue in order to achieve the perfect shot. Simon and Karla are really so much more than wedding photographers. They played such a huge role in our day, providing so much support and just generally being there for anything we may have needed or were unsure of (my wedding car actually didn't show and Karla and Simon were there offering to take my bridal party to the venue). Me and Alex still can't believe how comfortable we felt with them both, especially seeing as we hate our photo being taken.

We could not be more happy with our photos (there were tears and laughter when we received them and when we've shown any family members!). I especially love the natural ones that they've managed to capture, this is where they really set themselves apart! They manage to really capture the raw emotions of the day and the photos tell a story and bring the whole day back to life.

If you want photographers that know exactly what they are doing and will blend in to your wedding day and provide you with the most amazing photos then these are for you! I couldn't recommend them enough and if I ever need any photos in the future I will 100% be using them again. The loveliest people and the most amazing photographers.

Simon was brilliant at our wedding along with John who worked with him, he mixed in with everyone and felt like more of a friend than having to feel on edge with him around. They are never in the way and just blend in and make everything relaxed and you don't have to worry about a thing! I'd recommend sky photography to anyone!

Sky Photography took our friends wedding photos and we loved them so much we knew we wanted them to shoot our wedding too! Simon and Karla were so flexible with all of our covid-wedding-rescheduling and even moved their holiday to fit round our final date! We wanted relaxed and natural wedding photos and candid shots of guests to look back on and they were perfect!

Despite the rain Simon and Karla managed to take some really creative photos which we love! They are so professional yet also friendly, calming and great fun to have around on the day! We would 100% recommend this fab couple for your wedding photos!

My husband and I cannot fault Sky Photography. They have been great to work with throughout, from our first meeting with them at a Wedding Fair, through to our engagement shoot with Simon and receiving our wonderful wedding photos taken by Simon and Karla. We had to rearrange our wedding twice due to Covid and Sky Photography were very accommodating and supportive during this time.

Both Simon and Karla made us and our guests feel very comfortable and captured some absolutely amazing photos of our wedding that really show what was going on and how people were feeling throughout the day. We also received the wedding photos earlier than expected, which was a nice surprise!

I can't honestly express how brilliant Sky Photography are! Artistically they go above and beyond to capture your day in the most incredible ways. They seem to catch every moment but are invisible at the same time. I wish I could post every photo just so you could see how truly talented Simon and Karla are. We couldn't recommend Simon and Karla enough. From our first meeting with Simon, we felt like he really got to understand us as a couple and what we were hoping to get from our wedding photos. Right from the very beginning Simon was amazing. Our wedding was EXTREEMLY last minute and we were convinced we needed sky photography to shoot our wedding as their portfolio looked phenomenal and night time photography was of their many attributes (being a winter evening wedding this was a must) Simon made time for us at such short notice and the service was nothing short of perfect.

Some photographers from experience are always there, always near by and always making themselves known. NOT SKY. Simon blended in with family and friends, you didn't realise he was there until you needed him for anything, and then there he was! This allowed him to truly document our wedding to perfection, capturing every split second that we remember and I couldn't be happier with the images!

They are so natural and a true representation of our day. We creeped off for some quiet couples portraits and also had our family portraits. These photos along side the candid, documentary style photographs really caught every moment and we are so grateful. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for their photographer, you will get photos that you will never get bored of looking at and that you can cherish forever. 6/5

I can’t thank Simon from Sky Photography enough! He is incredibly talented!! His photos say it all. I am so in love with the first photos and I can’t wait to see the rest.
Simon is a professional but is able to make you feel at ease. After a while you forget the camera is there and that is when he captures the gold! He has kept with us throughout our lockdown wedding journey.

So supportive and genuine. His knowledge of Dodford Manor is outstanding, he knows all the shots and all the tricks. And because of this, he is super efficient and ensures that the time away from guests is minimal.

During this uncertain time and the way the world is right now we are looking back at our wedding photos more than ever and I thought I still haven't done a review! Simon & Karla are absolutely fantastic photographers, but also fantastic people. We felt the whole day that they were our friends/guests at our wedding, for the laughs we had, and for making us feel so at ease during photos, everything was just made such fun. (we would have the best night out if you guys ever fancy one please let us know! 😁) We can never thank you both enough for the memories that you have left us with from our special day. Sky Photography were amazing, we had them for our wedding day in December. Simon & Karla were both so friendly and made you feel right at ease straight away. I loved how they caught all the natural moments of our day and even braved the rain with us to catch the perfect pictures! Rain would not spoil our day! Karla even helped me dry off afterwards, any little thing they could do to help your day run smoothly they would do! Would 100% recommend them!!

What can I say.... We cannot thank you enough for capturing our day! We bumped into you both at a random Wedding Fayre we saw when driving in the area, walked in and loved your work - BOOKED! Our photos have exceeded our expectations!
Simon blended into the wedding so well! Everything was caught without us even knowing so we and our guests could just enjoy our day.

Our 1 year old wondered around all day not being bothered about seeing us, yet Simon managed to get the rare occasions he was in our presence which has meant the world to us! We were so sad to see him leave as we had so many laughs with you, and even said if we ever renew our vows years down the line we will give you a call! We had Sky Photography for our wedding in November and they did a fantastic job. We had an extremely rainy day and Simon & Karla where fab. We all braved the rain and still managed to get some lovely photos. Karla even helped dry my hair and dress before the first dance!! They managed to move around the guests seamlessly capturing the joy and fun of our wedding. Such wonderful people to include in your day!!

Simon recently photographed our wedding and we have now received our photos - my husband and I could not be happier. We love every single photo.
Simon was so friendly at our initial meeting and throughout and was always on hand to answer questions in the lead up to the wedding. On the wedding day he knew exactly how to get the best shots and was full of different ideas - the photos are absolutely amazing.

We have such a variety of different photos (from silhouette shots to holding a flare) that we cannot pick a favourite. We loved his natural style of photography and we have some really lovely group and action shots of our family and ourselves. He took the time to speak to our guests and everyone has said what a nice guy he was. Myself and Kev can’t thank Simon and Karla enough. The up most professional people but also your friends. I would beg you to pick them as your photographer because no one else could compare. Where on earth do I start!? We were the most unprofessional bride and groom, starting off by forgetting we had a meeting with you, Tristian being in his pants... then Triss being in his pants when you turn up on the big day and me having my wedding pants out on the table honestly! But you guys were FAR from pants! Honestly I read the reviews and thought yea their pictures are pretty but they can’t be that amazing... THEY ARE! Looking through just our sneak peak pictures when I have massive wedding blues and it’s put the smile right back on my face.

The photos are absolutely incredible and this is just the start. Our guests have sent me so many compliments about you both and we can’t thank you enough for how easy you blended with everyone, and just clicked away. You also put up with us in the really really cold weather and let us do some beautiful night pictures and cannot thank you enough because they are amazing.

Simon & Karla are AMAZING! Two extremely talented photographers for the price of one with zero comprise on quality. We are so lucky to have near 1000 photographs that have captured our wedding day so beautifully, it’s just too difficult to choose our favourites to display in photo frames in the house! Their customer service prior to and post wedding was incredible too. The website showcasing all of our photos is exactly what we wanted and the gift box with USB included was a nice touch too. I can’t recommend Sky Photography enough!

Simon and Carla are amazing and although we never got to meet Carla dew to there new bundle of joy we had John who was super lovely . I could not ever wished for such nice guys to be part of our day ,you forget that they are photographers and relax in there presents and feel like there just friends taking part in your day.

To many photographers we met in process were overwhelming,these guys are by far Not. They are supper talented,kind,respectful,and just all round blooming nice people that you actually feel sad u will not see again. We couldn't be happier with the service we recieved and with our lovely pictures. We had no doubt that the photos would be amazing but were blown away by how wonderfully thoughtful and caring Simon and Karla were. They were smiley and cheerful throughout and took care of us and our guests, beyond what we would expect from any photographers. There are not enough stars on this review or words I could use to describe how amazing this wonderful duo are. From our initial meeting to the moment we received our photos Simon and Karla have been attentive, caring, warm and accommodating. With my husband despising having his photograph taken, I assumed finding a photographer that wouldn't make us pose for pictures would be difficult.

After looking through Sky's work on Facebook we met with Simon and he came to our home to show us some more of their work and it was exactly what we were looking for so we booked them there and then without xo spidering anybody else! On the day both Simon and Karla made us feel so relaxed and my husband actually enjoyed being part of the shots! It genuinely felt like Simon and Karla were our guests.

They captured the sheer happiness and joy of our day through natural yet beautiful photos. So many of our family and friends commented on how incredible they were.
