Choosing a photographer to capture your wedding day should not be underestimated. The day goes by so quickly but with the right photos you get to relive not just the events of the day but also the emotion - well, that's what we get to do because Tom & Murray did an outstanding job of capturing our special day. Leading up to the wedding the guys were really good at communication, we had to delay twice (thanks Covid) but the guys were great with the rearrangements, and afterwards kept us up to date on when we'd receive sneak peaks and final photos.

They were an absolute delight on the day, Tom was promoted to honorary bridesmaid as he was on hand to help out with flowers and hair and definitely "one of the girls". We trusted them 100% on the day, and were totally open to their suggestions and we have been rewarded with the most amazing photos. We have so many that are our "favourite" we really are spoilt for choice. All of our guests commented on how great they were and how beautiful our photos are. Your special day is in safe hands with Tom & Murray - highly recommend!

Murray and Tom are amazing! We absolutely loved getting to know them and having them as part of our wedding day. They were professional and friendly and felt more like guests by the end of the day! We also had an engagement shoot with them, which was really wonderful and helped us to feel at ease. We really love the photographs, they capture the day perfectly and were just as we had wanted - casual and relaxed, really capturing the mood of the day!

The presentation box and mini album that we received were a really lovely touch. We would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone, they are really really lovely guys, and a real laugh, they put us at ease from the start and we are usually quite camera shy! Thank you Tom and Murray!

We were so pleased we chose Tom and Murray as our wedding photographers - they were professional yet very friendly and approachable, and the photos were just stunning! We thoroughly enjoyed our engagement/practise shoot with them in the lead up to the wedding - it really helped in getting used to being photographed and getting to know Tom and Murray better. Where do I start. I had the pleasure of meeting Tom and Murray at my best friend's wedding in June 2017. I loved the way they felt part of the wedding party, and the quality of the photographs they produced for my best friends wedding were exceptional. I got engaged in May 2018 and had no doubt that I wanted to use One Thousand Words for our wedding.

We were initially planning to get married in May 2020, then November 2020 and due to Covid both weddings were cancelled. Tom and Murray could not have been more supportive during this really difficult time - I knew I'd made the right decision in choosing them as our wedding photographers - but they are both so much for than photographers. Our wedding finally took place in November 2021 and our photographs are just stunning.

It's hard to find the words to describe how great they are. They have such a great approach in how they engage and interact with people, they feel like part of the family. This is not your standard, you stand here or there. They capture feelings. They capture personalities and on showing my photos to friends and family they have said they can feel the joy and happiness in the photos coming through.

And they are so funny! Everyone at our wedding commented on how professional and friendly they were and that they were a huge part of the wedding. Don't look any further. Everything you need in a wedding photographer is right here.

Tom and Murray were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. On the day they were so friendly and easy going. They are both so professional they know exactly what shots will work for the group and couple photos and got them quickly so it doesn't eat into the day. The rest of the photos are documentary style so they really capture what's going on.

The photos at the end are exceptional. They really captured the happiness of the day and are such precious memories. Our family and friends absolutely love them too. If you want friendly and professional photographers who take incredible photos then definitely book one thousand words. And book early! There's a reason they are in high demand.

Tom and Hannah were extremely professional. I used their service to take some shots for a proposal at Durdle Door great photos and a quick turnaround! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for photographers.

What can we say. Tom and Murray were brilliant from start to Finnish. Didn't even notice they were there. We are so glad we had booked them. From the 1st time we had met them they had put my mind at ease and any questions they answered straight away. The whole wedding party thought they were brilliant. We love all of the photos they have really captured our day so well. Will be highly recommending them. So a massive thank you to both of you.

We are very pleased with the service we received from Tom! I initially saw Tom and Murray's work online and wanted my proposal pictures to resemble their work so I was keen to use them. There were a number of delays, changes and cancellations on my end due to Covid however Tom was very accommodating and flexible which made it all the more easy! On the lead up to the agreed date Tom was very helpful and supportive, he provided plenty of choices and recommendations as to what will make a romantic and scenic proposal which really helped, we agreed on a specific area of Swanage - The Preveril Point.

On the day I was very nervous but felt at much at ease as possible as the plan was carefully choreographed, guidance which I needed on such a nerve racking day! During the proposal Tom, assisted by Hannah were on hand to capture everything. Our moment was captured perfectly and then we had a number of posed pictures in the area to add to the special day.

My partner and I are thrilled with the results and it's really made the whole experience a whole lot more special. We have lovely pictures to remember the moment forever. Our friends and families also love the pictures, we have already had friends say they wish they had professional pictures taken like us and I'm sure we have spurred on others to plan the same! For us our wedding photographer was one of the most important decisions to make for our wedding and felt pretty daunting to start with. Our experience with Tom and Murray was fantastic from the first time we met them and the resulting engagement and wedding pictures were beautiful! As with many, our wedding was postponed for a year and we then decided to have a smaller wedding as restrictions eased slightly.

Nothing was ever too much and the advice that they could offer was a great comfort to us during a stressful and uncertain time. They are great guys and made us, and our guests, feel totally at ease and as a result captured so many beautiful moments to help us remember our day.

We first saw Tom and Murrays work in a photo book at a wedding venue and knew instantly they were the photographers we wanted. The story telling, natural style suited us perfectly as I didn't particularly like being photographer. On our first meeting Tom and Murray put us at ease and explained the whole process. They listened to all our worries and soon became an integral part of the planning process.

They were patient and attentive at all times and were very flexible when the weather kept cancelling our engagement shoot. On the wedding day itself they were brilliant at putting everyone at ease and so many guests commented on how helpful and funny they were. It was like having your best friends take your photos. Tom and Murray had some really creative ideas that made for some memorable photos.

There was no doubt in my mind I was going to book Tom and Murray to photograph my wedding and now I have received the photos I’m even more glad I chose them! On the build up the day they were great with any questions I had and responded really quick. They came to look at the venue and discussed at length our plans for the day and photos which were a must have.

On the day Tom spent time with the ladies whilst getting ready and Murray sorted out the men, even helping to actually get my now husband dressed!
Tom was absolutely brilliant! He was humorous and made everyone feel at ease. Kept reassuring me and asking me how I was, he helped me put my veil in when I forgot it and carried out several other tasks throughout the morning!

He really was more like an assistant than a photographer yet he still captured so much from that morning. They both fitted in so well at the wedding, whilst remaining professional was able to have a laugh and made everyone feel so relaxed! Iv just got my photos back and literally felt like I was reliving the day when looking through them. They managed to capture everything and even took good photos of me which isn’t always possible...

We couldn't have wished for better wedding photographers. They not only seamlessly fitted around our day they added warmth and humour. It was like they were great guests! Everyone commented on how lovely they were, and the photos beautifully captured our day with memories for all to last a life time. Experienced, unpretentious and very very good, can't recommend Tom and Murray highly enough.

Tom and Murray went above and beyond, not only to take stunning photographs, but to make our day as smooth as possible. We would liken Tom to batman with his utility belt. When a bit of my hair unravelled from jumping around- he noticed straight away, produced some bobby pins and fixed it for me, when some of the beads fell off one of my bridesmaid’s dresses- he had glue and stuck them back on, when a thread from my dress got stuck on something, he got out his multi-tool and untangled me. Both Tom and Murray were so calm and professional, and made the day even more fun. We have just got the sneak peek back and couldn’t love our photos any more!!

Tom and Murray were absolutely fantastic in the lead up to our wedding and on the day. They went out of their way to make sure we had amazing pictures and the day ran smoothly. Tom was on hand with pliers to fix the zip on my wedding dress while Murray was helping the groom's men to get ready. The whole process was effortless on our part and we felt totally at ease. Tom and Murray blended in during the day and were not intrusive, all of our guests commented on how professional and friendly they were.

We absolutely loved the sneak peak and thought it was a nice touch to write a blog about the day. We are so happy with our images, they have an amazing talent in capturing natural photos. I cannot recommend them highly enough, they have been so accommading from the initial booking right through to creating our album.

Gaudi and I would like to say a huge thank you for being absolutely amazing in the run up, during and after our wedding day and for capturing such brilliant photos and amazing memories. We could not have asked for more from Tom and Murray and would highly recommend their services, they really did go above and beyond. We first met with the guys on our engagement shoot which was an extremely windy day down in Swanage, after taking a few photos we decided it was time to give into the wind and go to the pub for a pint to get to know them and talk about our big day. Having the opportunity to meet with them in advance was so great as we felt like we knew them when they arrived on our wedding day which immediately put us at ease. Tom was really helpful and responsive in the run up to the day answering any questions we had.

On our wedding day they were both absolutely amazing, so many friends and family commented on how great they were and just fitted in like guests. They worked so well with our videographer and other suppliers helping the day to run smoothly. They are discreet in their approach, fun – making everyone laugh, easy going and capture the day perfectly as it happens.

They stayed well into the evening capturing some fun shots of the dancing which is so great to have! We are so happy with our photographs and the decision to go with One Thousands Words – we could not recommend them highly enough. Tom and Murray were not just our wedding photographers, they were a genuine part of our wedding day. They are fantastic guys with a great sense of humour and as well as taking truly stunning photos of our wedding they were an absolute joy to be around. They went above and beyond and nothing was too much trouble for the pair of them. They are down to earth, genuine and incredibly good at their job.

Our guests commented on how professional and friendly they were as well and in particular, I was touched by how they said personal goodbyes to us and our guests at the end of the day. I cannot recommend them enough, they are world class and I only have good things to say about them both. True gentleman with passion and love for what they do, just brilliant!

I cannot recommend Tom and Murray highly enough, they were perfect in every way. They both have great personalities that fit into any given situation on the day. They really feel more like guests. There was no pressure or rushing and they were even on hand with spare hair clips and scissors when needed. The photos themselves were incredible!! Our day perfectly documented from beginning to end with split moments in time captured for a lifetime. We cannot thank you enough.

As a videographer, having a good relationship with the photographers you are working with is essential in achieving the best results for your couple. These guys are simply amazing at what they do. On the day they were hilarious and I felt so at ease with them because in all honesty I forgot they were there! The pictures arrived on a memory stick beautifully presented and both my husband and I were taken back to the day, they were better than we could ever have expected and encapsulated the day perfectly.

We even got to see pictures of things we missed. These lifelong photos will forever be treasured and we can continue to share them with our children as our grandparents and parents have theirs. Thank you so much.

From the offset, we were treated to a first class service from Tom and Murray that was highly professional, making us feel extremely comfortable. A huge amount of care and consideration went into establishing exactly what we wanted with contact offered as frequent as we required. All our requests were not only accommodated but massively welcomed, no matter how odd we thought these were.

Nothing was too much trouble. Our family and friends frequently described having both Tom and Murray around for the weekend as totally charming and appropriate. Many describing them as totally blending into the fabric of the wedding. They achieved again this perfect balance of professionalism with an all important ability of making us and our guests feel at total ease around them.

Most importantly, they have delivered exactly what we requested to our brief and also found ways to exceed our expectations. The photos we have, are absolutely exceptional showing the life and soul of our wedding. They were huge fun and engaging to be with and we’ll cherish the memories they’ve helped us keep forever.

Tom and Murray photographed our wedding in August 2017. What can we say? They were absolutely amazing from the first contact, to sending us our photos. Tom and Murray were so accommodating to our requets, no ask was too big for them and they made us feel so excited for the day. They were able to discuss the plans with us over email and Skype as we were planning the wedding over 140 miles away from Dorset.

On the day itself, even though we hadn't met them in person beforehand it was like having old friends with us.

Tom and Murray made everyone feel so relaxed and made us all laugh a lot. They fitted right in, even some our guests thought they were part of the family. My favourite thing about them as photographers, was they spotted all the small moments (as well as the big moments) that were really special to us.

The whole process felt very personal and we really appreciated the initial meeting to discuss our preferences and special requests.
