Alan Law is a professional wedding photographer from Cornwall, who loves to capture a bride and groom's special day totally naturally and unobtrusively. He also believes that wedding photography needn't cost the earth, so Alan's prices for a full day's coverage will always remain great value.

Do you want to enjoy your reception (and those expensive canapes!) without being carted off for a two-hour photoshoot? If you've answered 'yes' to all those questions, then I could be the photographer for you! With my totally silent cameras (so you're not taken out of the moment by a loud shutter noise) I capture your day naturally - never asking you to repeat things, or moving or directing you, but instead capturing everything as it happens (creatively and artistically, of course).
Ah what to write, what to write.? Does anyone really enjoy writing about themselves.? Well, instead of just lots of writing, I thought I'd show you quite a few images of me - and a couple of videos - with some little bits of info about each one. I've been lucky enough to win numerous international awards, have been a speaker and educator at conferences all over the world (as well as my own 'Law School' workshops), am the founder of two global photography communities and award bodies, and have a beautiful little family; more on them all below!
An optional initial consultation with yourselves is included, to talk about your day in more detail, and just to get to know each other. This can also be done via Zoom, Skype or FaceTime, if a physical meeting isn't possible. I'll use my experience of shooting over 300 weddings (and teaching hundreds of other wedding photographers) to capture your day naturally and creatively.
This is the way I shoot: totally naturally. I don't 'set up' any shots, I don't put you into poses; I capture the real-life, true moments of your day, observing and recording those moments as they happen. After all, when you look back at a photo where you've been posed, you just remember being posed; when you look at a natural photo, you remember how you were feeling.
Here you'll find more information about 'Law School', my documentary wedding photography workshop. On my workshops I am a complete and open book, wanting you to get as much from your time with me as possible; I'll be letting you know everything and anything about me, my creative documentary style, my business and marketing and much, much more.

I attended Alan Law's Wedding photography workshop in October 2015. This day can't come more highly recommended, every second I was learning something new and intuitive like a thirsty sponge. Alan has a way to keep you focused and sharing ideas as it is also a great opportunity for networking. A pure gold dust opportunity which I aim to use to take my wedding photography business to that next level.
Only a week has passed and I have made so many changes already and none of that includes even photographing a wedding yet. Lastly Alan is dedicated and an easy going very approachable teacher where any question was broken down into digestible sizes with his answers ensuring it could be absorbed by the varying level of skill and experience within our group.
The best group workshop I have ever attended by far and would certainly even invest in again in the future to push my ability even further. I am re energised and so excited to go out and shoot a wedding this weekend applying all the new skills flying round my head right now.
