When you hire me you can rest assured I'm doing it for love of the job, not because it pays well - that is a myth. The prints I provide from the experience you and I had on the day, are a product that will be displayed for years to come. The printers and I spend time making sure the final images you helped me to create are a perfect rendition of that time you and I spent on the sitting. All print products are specialist papers and inks* that you, I and the printers aim to make perfect. Portraits by fourTwographs can be taken in the comfort of your own home and most locations of choice.

What we do, is create the dynamic head-shot that will enhance you and your image. All headshots start with a phone consultation. We plan what type of image will serve you best. All customers are welcome to change clothing and/or accessories. No matter if you come into the studio, stay in your office or choose a great location, I will coach you as we shoot. During the shoot we can review the images on the back of the camera, aiding us to achieve the shots that thrill you. If a studio shoot – and your schedule permits, we will view images on the computer to ensure you definitely have what you want.
These shoots allow us to create powerful head-shots. The whole point of the head-shot, is not to come out of your shoot with bunch of makeover type shots or a modelling portfolio, but for us together, to capture what it is that makes you different from others.

This is the 2nd time I've had my professional head-shots done by Bentley Portraits (Dark Background). I dislike many photos of myself but John always manages to capture to images of me which I actually like and am happy to share on my professional profiles. John is great at putting you at your ease and I ended up almost enjoying the experience of being photographed!

I cant recommend John highly enough. He is so approachable, funny and professional at the same time. He makes you feel at ease straight away and this makes for the wonderful portraits he shoots. If you are remotely thinking of a portrait for yourself, family or even pet you wont be disappointed with Johns work.

Came in for a charity project John was working on. He's lovely and put me at ease straight away, I really enjoyed the experience. The quality of the photos is really good and the the price is good too. We had a slight issue with the money being taken twice however John rectified this and even gave us a free print for the inconvenience. Really good of him! He again went above and beyond when I lost my digital prints, he found my gallery and resent it to me. I would definitely recommend him

Met John whilst he was doing a charity photograph event, so when I decided I wanted some graduation photos he was the first to pop to mind. Setting up an appointment and going for the photos were really easy and simple. The photo shoot was just a constant stream of laughter - he even made my Nana very welcome. The shoots he took were amazing and more than I could have ever described to want.
But when the photos were printed they were breathtaking. My only side comment is that I think John belongs on a talk show with all his memories and opinions, but without that talk we wouldn't have built up such an amazing rapport. Thank you again john, your work is outstanding and I am forever grateful xxx

John is a photographer who can accommodate anyone - young, mature, modern or prim and proper! Mum and I enjoyed our photo session with John as part of his charity drive for Lagan's Foundation. We are thrilled to have chosen 2 images each out of the many that John did for us. if only we could have bought the lot!

A wonderful guy who is hard working, loves his work and puts all his heart and soul into it. John made me feel extremely comfortable, so much so I went back for another sitting. His attention to detail is second to non. I would thoroughly recommend him. If you require a family portrait, a photo with your beloved, one of all your children etching then John is your guy and he'll put you at ease. I can't thank you enough.

Absolutely beautiful photos of my Siamese cat Smeagol! John wanted Smeagol to be at his most relaxed and in his own environment, so decided to come to the house to take the pics. Being a young cat, Smeagol was very unpredictable, but John worked wonders! Crawling around and even following him into the garden! He managed to get a really good variety of photos that truly captured Smeagols character. But as well as this, John is a really fun guy who just happens to be awesome at his job!

I'd done a couple of shoots before my shoot with John and I have to working with him was the experience thus far. At every step he was friendly and communicative and when it came to the actual shoot this meant I was more relaxed and we got some great images. What's more he had a clear sense of direction and was able to push me to further develop my portfolio without making me feel uncomfortable.
The studio itself had great light and various "stages" on which to shoot with a large variety of hidden props and oddities. All of this made for a very productive day and my favourite and best received images to date. I look forward to working with him again and can heartily recommend him to anyone.

I was looking to have some photographs taken of me and my children had no idea where to start. A friend recommended john so thought I'd give him a whirl. John came out with his lovely wife to discuss what I wanted from the photographs and where I wanted them done, I had decided to have them done at home as I have a very comfortable living room ( I was very impressed they both came and spent time with me before the shoot it was far more relaxing than just turning up on the day of the shoot.
On the day it all went well john was patient and understanding with the kids being kids and spent a good few hours to capture the best pictures. I've chosen to go back to fourTwographs to get a special picture taken of myself and my dog. The reason I've chosen John is that I know he won't shoot anything that is twee or sentimentally soppy. John immediately puts you at ease while he works his magic. His photographs do get the essence of his subject, particularly the eyes those windows to the soul. Some of the photos I have seen by John have a gritty earthy texture while others have the translucent feel of an old master. I will be going back for more and highly recommend his work

John was amazing from start to finish. I wasnt sure how good of a model a one year old would make but john captured some brilliant images. It truely is something to treasure and remember for ever. The only bit I had trouble with was choosing which ones to keep from all the wonderful images John had taken :).
