Children
Report
Your photography session will be fun, unique to you and individually tailored to suit your requirements. There is no set routine, no specific formula that I stick to, especially where children are concerned. They quite often have their own agenda, and I find that the best approach is to just go with it. If children are happy, it shows in their faces, which results in fabulous photographs and happy memories which is what it’s all about. If your little one is feeling under the weather or (as can happen) they just don’t feel like smiling that day despite my best efforts, then it’s not a problem, we just reschedule for another day at no extra cost.
If you have a specific outdoor location where you would like to hold your shoot, I am happy to travel (within reason! If you live in Aberdeen, best to call me for a chat first…!)

Tiny little newborns are only so little for such a little time! With this in mind, I aim to capture those little details that are so fleeting within the first two weeks of a brand new life. Their sleepiness at this stage, as they still graduate towards the curled up in-tummy position, lends itself to all sorts of natural, adorable poses. Your session should ideally be booked well in advance of your due date in order to guarantee a date within the first two weeks of your little one’s arrival. Of course the dates will be flexible depending on whether your little one has arrived early or late (or, as occasionally happens, on your due date!) As you can imagine, slow and careful is the order of the day, intermingled with feeding sessions, settling and rocking back to sleep, which all leads up to your session taking up to four hours. So bring lots of milk and patience and you will be rewarded with the most beautiful memories of this very special time in your lives.

Wow what a wonderful experience and a fantastic result ! Our girls loved their photo session – it was great fun with lots of dressing up and laughter. The photographs are beautiful, they brought tears to our eyes. Only problem now is which do we choose to hang up in our new home. Cannot thank you enough, and it’s something we plan to do annually so shall be seeing you again next year. Cannot recommend you highly enough!!!

Yet another beautiful collection of pictures. How do you do it? Considering I could count the no. of smiles on one hand that we got that morning..! I know grandma will absolutely love them too. We were absolutely delighted with our pictures, to the point of being moved to tears! The whole experience with Alex was an absolute pleasure – which really says a lot given how huge I felt in the bump shoot and how completely out of it (post c section) I was in the baby shoot! Alex is the baby whisperer – so calm and gentle that I trusted her implicitly with my newborn. She was equally brilliant with my (frequently difficult!) three year old and managed to get some truly beautiful photographs of her with her new sister.
The result was a series of photographs that made me teary to view. I will treasure them forever. I was so impressed both by the quality of the photos and Alex’s human professionalism and understanding. If we have another baby, there is no one else we would use!
