I am Ben, a wedding photographer situated in Canterbury, Kent, who specialises in a candid, documentary approach to capturing weddings. My philosophy is centred around documenting the day as it happens, allowing real emotions to shine through. While Kent is my home base, I am available for weddings across the UK and internationally, bringing my experience and expertise to every celebration. With 15 years in the industry, Ive had the pleasure of working at some of Kents most picturesque locations, including Leeds Castle and the tranquil barns nestled in the countryside. My deep knowledge of the region allows me to scout the perfect locations for your portraits while ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience on your big day.Having documented over 500 weddings, I possess the skill to capture the unique emotions and small moments that make your day special. Ben has been a great mentor for my photography business. I have shot with him as a second photographer at several stunning weddings. Ben always makes sure to give you time on the day, ensuring that you have support and direction and also gives you multiple opportunities to photograph all areas of the wedding so that you come away with a full portfolio of images from the day. Afterwards Ben is always supportive in his feedback, making sure you receive full critique on your whole set of images, whilst sharing his final full edited gallery with you. Ben is so knowledgeable and highly experienced and has also taught me about managing a photography business.

OMG! Ben took the most incredible wedding pictures. My new husband John and I laughed and cried at our pictures. Tom and Rachel captured our wedding day so beautifully, from beginning to end! We love how they captured so much that even we didnt get to see - its so lovely seeing all the conversations that were happening, and the dancing! They captured all our key moments and then some, and most of the time we didnt even know they were there! What we loved about Toms portfolio was that he captured so many natural moments during weddings, guests and the fun they were having!
And woweee, he did exactly that for us! Tom and Rachel captured all the joy, all the fun, all the magic and we are beyond overjoyed that we have these incredible photos to look back on and smile all over again! We cannot thank them enough and will treasure these photos forever.

Ben and his assistant Ben were a Fabulous photographers on our wedding day 05.08.23 making us feel at ease and ensuring that we had a wide range of family photos and natural in the moment memories of the day. We especially liked how when looking through the photos it really was just like reliving the whole day all over again. Friends and family all commented on how wonderful they are. Some of the photos a truly moving and we will treasure them always.

Ben was completely fantastic. On the wedding day he was the perfect mix of providing gentle guidance for when pictures were needed and otherwise being discreet and capturing the non-staged shots. His pictures that were produced were just beautiful - the best memory of the day for us and we are so grateful to him for the amazing work that he did. Ben was amazing from start to finish. We didnt want too many posey pictures and he got the brief perfectly. He captured everything we wanted but in a natural way and was so discreet. He was relaxed throughout which made us feel the same in return. The pictures are incredible, we cannot stop looking at them and love every single one. Ben took some incredible photos of our wedding party. We wanted natural shots of the day and he caught all the moments perfectly (even the moments we missed!). He was also very accommodating and took impromptu group photos when everyone was ready! He was very friendly while being unobtrusive. We would highly recommend him.

Ben was so great on our recent Wedding day. He listened to all our complicated new plans (cheers Covid), kept a tight schedule zipping around to everyone, was very friendly, efficient & quick, and now. the results are super-stylish! We are chuffed. So looking forward to having him again at our larger Wedding party (when eventually allowed.) Highly recommend.

We booked Benjamin for our wedding and from start to finish he was superb. We hired Benjamin Toms for our wedding in March this year and he was simply fantastic. The wedding and reception took place mostly inside and a lot of our friends had trouble taking half decent photos so we found ourselves hoping for Benjamin to really come through for us and he certainly did. The quality was excellent, and he was very easy to work with. Very professional, working hard to capture as much of the day as possible. So many magical memories, thank you so much Benjamin!
