I started my post university career travelling the world as a geologist, working in Africa, the Middle East, Arctic Norway and Spain. During that time I was able to feed my passion for photography by capturing images of the industry I worked in: pure industrial images; pictures of the people in action; and the surrounding landscapes; the details and the panoramic.My reputation grew so that fifteen years ago I was able to focus on photography full time and I haven't looked back since. Although based in the south of England, I am available for weddings, portrait sessions and commercial photography in London, throughout the UK and indeed the world!

I am very good at quickly developing great working relationships with people, they relax quickly, and most really rather like being photographed just being, or doing what they enjoy doing. Whether as part of a family photoshoot at Rock where we all get in the boat and go off together to a beach, or simply a walk out from home.

I much prefer the light our good Lord gives, even for commercial photography. This releases me to concentrate on where my skill lies rather than trying to be an expert in too many things.

Michael is not just a photographer but an artist. He really 'knows' people and that shows in his beautiful pictures. It's a difficult thing to explain or properly describe, but I can say that I have always been shocked by his photographs of my family. Each time he somehow manages to faithfully capture something fundamental that's difficult to name. 'soul', 'essence', 'core'. something. Michael is a great listener too, which I think is a large part of his gift. I thoroughly recommend his photography to anyone considering capturing the best side of any event.
