It's been a pretty special last year or so for Jonathan Brown. It's now almost 20 years since he set up Browns Photography, specialising in creating natural, story-telling photography. Jonathan is a laid back, full-time photographer based in Newcastle upon Tyne, who's loved being the photographer for hundreds of clients all over Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, County Durham, North Yorkshire and the Lake District. My style? Whatever you call it, it means I shoot in a relaxed and unobtrusive way, aiming to capture the story of you and yours.

A portrait session with Jonathan at Browns Photography is a fun and relaxed experience that produces beautiful, contemporary photographs. I'm based in Newcastle upon Tyne, but I provide portrait photography in all parts of Northumberland, Tyne and Wear and County Durham. I specialise in stylish, informal photographs of babies, children, families and grown ups too!
Where will my shoot be? Your portrait session can be at your home, garden or favourite location in the North East, such as a park or beach. You choose! Experience shows me that everyone looks more relaxed and natural in a familiar location. This is especially important for children. When will my shoot be?
From our base in Newcastle upon Tyne, Browns Photography provide a nursery photography service in Tyne and Wear, Northumberland and County Durham. Contemporary black and white photographs of children at nursery taken by our photographer, Jonathan Brown, are a great hit with parents! Nursery portraits are also ideal gifts for relatives, godparents and family friends.
