Draper Liz I am a professional wedding photographer, which means that I don't do weddings as a sideline or fit them in between other commercial jobs. I chose to specialise in wedding photography because I love it, and I believe that this shows in the quality of my work and attention to detail. I am with you for the whole day, departing only after everyone sits down for the wedding breakfast.

There is no place with friendlier, happier or superior service. The staff here makes you feel like family. The restaurants are amazing. This is our 6th visit in less than 2 years and we keep coming back. The outdoor pool is perfect for kids and their celebration events are unbeatable!

Wow! Our visit to your resort was wonderful. Staff, facility and food =10 stars. The history and great condition of the property is a testament itself to true craftsmanship of those who built it. We enjoyed the horse carriage ride, the underground bunker tour, shops and the Sam Snead golf club lunch. Thank you for a great weekend.

Large beautiful resort, upon first arrival can be overwhelming with a plethora of colors/ patterns, but they tend to grow on you. Rooms are comfortable, bathrooms on the small size. Limited lunch options available when we were there (1 restaurant and a shop that sold sandwiches), but several dinner options however reservations are recommended

The bunker tour was great and the food was great. The courses were fun to I enjoyed Old White and Meadows. The pool was iconic and I like how big it is. It looks out over the golf courses. The rooms however were overrated. They were somewhat cramped and weren't as nice as they looked. Overall, a solid hotel but I wouldn't stay here more than once.

The Greenbrier has been a constant presence throughout my life. I've attended numerous events here. The local High School, where I graduated, holds its prom here. Most people in the area have worked for the place at one point or another in their lives. The secret underground shelter for the US Congress has been the worst kept secret among locals for as long as I can recall.

My mother and father told us stories about when it was constructed. Its revelation in 1997 was no surprise to any of us. I have never desired to stay at the place, I have patronized its bars, restaurants, movie theater, and bowling alley at different times in my life. I happened to shoot a few games of pool with three young women and their younger brother on one such trip before their mother, Kris, rounded them up.

They seemed rather surprised that I had no idea who their father was. They told me that he was a famous lawyer who represented 0J Simpson. I must say that the encounter was so memorable that it took me quite a few years to realize just who they were. At the moment, I'm not sure if that adds value to the establishment.

It's a nice outside eye catcher. It needs a few fixes to it. The interior decor is something everyone needs to see. Very, very different. The rooms are small and the restaurants are nice. You must be a guest to eat at the restaurants and partake in the activities that are on the property. The clay shooting at Kate's mountain lodge was fun for me. The bunker tour was meh. Nice day trip.

I have never seen a hotel so adverse to letting people spend the day there. It's as if they don't want my money. We are trying to plan a bachelor party outing with a bunker tour, some golf, and a nice dinner. Nope! You have to be a guest to dine at the restaurants, and you have to be a guest to book golf more than 10 days out, even if we want to book a twilight tee time (because we plan on doing other activities first). I understand making things available to your guests first, but if we are going to spend money on multiple activities then let us spend money on multiple activities.

While the Greenbriar is overall beautiful and staff was very, very friendly, I have to give a 1 star review because of what I feel is the most important part of the stay: the accommodations. We stayed in one of their smaller rooms, so maybe they just aren't given the same attention. When we arrived, we immediately found 2 half-melted, half-eaten ice creams in the mini fridge cooler from the prior occupants.

The bath tub wouldn't drain after showers and the shower head leaked so we had to call maintenance day 1. The ceiling above the shower was moldy and the carpets in the main area were stained. The chair for the vanity was also stained in several areas. The in-room amenities were slim, but perhaps it's due to the type of room we had. The toilet was low and was of industrial style.

The room was beautifully decorated, staff were wonderful, and we did enjoy ourselves. It was disappointing to see that many of their children's activities were only available at certain times, but I realize this hotel isn't geared toward them. When calling guest services for assistance and recommendations. They weren't very friendly or helpful, but the rest of the staff was wonderful. My hope is that this was just a fluke stay and we'll maybe try staying again, so hopefully I'll be able to update my review then.

I love the Christmas traditional decorations. Had a cottage with families friends. Had one outside catering lunch to the cottage, Room service for breakfast and the rest at the main hotel. We did bowling and walking around the surroundings. There is the horse carriage ride with any amount you like to pay for per head.

We were on a long drive to North Carolina and asked google to find us a steak house nearby. This is what google lead us to. Place was too fancy looking for ppl like me(some of the restaurants even had a dress code). Price wasn't too bad compared to above average new york restaurants. Food on the other hand, was amazing and came in very generous portions.
