Most of the couples I have photographed have wanted a mix of the classic and the contemporary, the formal and the relaxed, the posed and the candid. They have wanted the groups, though usually not too many, and have wanted the pictures that show their friends laughing and celebrating. And most of all they have wanted a photographer who has captured the day without dominating the day.

And that is just what I love to do. Use photography to tell the story of your wedding day, of everything that happened with your family, and your friends. The smiles, laughs and tears of the speeches, and believe me that even though I have heard hundreds of speeches, some of them still have the power to affect me deeply.
I photographed my first wedding back in 2001, much against my better judgement! Joanne had seen my work at an exhibition at the now defunct Pines Hotel in Christchurch way back in 1998, my first ever solo exhibition. Amongst the 40 or so images on display, only two featured people, and in both the subjects were naked and draped over trees in the New Forest.
I have chosen my award-winning suppliers because I believe they offer great products at good prices. That doesn't mean they are cheap, simply that they represent really good value for what they are. I have tried many different products during my 17 years as a professional wedding photographer, some I loved and decided they were too expensive, and others I've hated and wanted nothing more to do with.
My approach to portrait photography has changed dramatically since the time when photography was just a hobby for me; I never did it then! I first picked up a camera to photograph nature and landscapes, and I strove to exclude any sign of people from my pictures. Today, even my personal work such as Obsessions and Wildwood completely revolves around people.
Let's tell you just a little about me and what I would love to do as a portrait photographer. My first experience as a portrait photographer, apart from some work at college during the 90s, was at Cats Whiskers Day Nursery when it first opened in 2001. What a challenge for a budding photographer. At the time I was still part-time, just thinking about changing careers, and it anything would put me off, then surely it would be spending a day photographing sixty under fours!Well, no, I loved it!

From the moment we saw Jerry's photographs we knew we had to have him as our wedding photographer. We contacted and booked him as soon as we knew our date. Even though our wedding date had to change Jerry was very happy to transfer our booking and we confirmed another date. We had our pre-wedding meeting & realized we had definitely made the best choice.
It felt like we had known Jerry for years, even though it was the first time we had met. Our wedding day was Amazing! Jerry brought such great energy, kept us smiling (even in the freezing cold) and was an absolute pleasure to have around. Seeing the photographs after definitely reminded us we had made the best decision. He captured such special moments that we will treasure forever. We only wish we could do it all over again to laugh and smile with this great photographer! Thank you so much Jerry!

From the moment we first met with Jerry for our consultation we felt as if we had known him for years. We knew straight away that he was the photographer for us. Jerry makes every effort to listen to your requests to capture your special day moments, and he certainly did that with the many photos of our guests laughing and having a wonderful day. We had a beautiful wedding at Sopley Mill, Dorset on the last bank holiday weekend in May 2016.
It was a scorching day and Jerry remained cool, calm and collected which is what any bride wants to calm her nerves. I am so pleased I had Jerry by my side, and discreetly in the background snapping away. A very professional photographer with cheeky humour, we love each and every one of the photos taken and there are lots. There is a beginning, a middle, but not an end in Jerrys service, as we will definitely use Jerry again to capture our new happy memories in the future. Thank you Jerry xx

Jerry did our wedding photos a few years ago and we couldn't have asked for a better photographer. It was like inviting an extra wedding guest and an extra friend! I can not recommend him enough, you will not be disappointed. Our photos are beautiful and are very treasured. Jerry will put you at ease, he is approachable, friendly, honest, professional and fantastic at his job. No wedding is complete without Mr Fenner!

Jerry provides a very professional service paying close attention to detail. He completely understands the importance of the moment and works hard to capture you looking at your best! He can be your best friend, laughing a joking to put your mind at ease, noticing when a shirt needs to be straightened or a shadow is lurking in the wrong place, but can quite as easily melt into the background and capture those precious non-posed photographs (that actually end up being your favourites!).
I can thoroughly recommend Jerry for both family and business photography. Over the years he's photographed my children at nursery, did a wonderful New Forest shoot for my husband's 40th birthday, and also did the photographs for my business website! A very talented photographer and a gentleman to boot!

I first met Jerry 11 years ago when he was photographing the children at our local playgroup. My son was an extremely shy and anxious 2yr old, to be honest, I didn't even think that he would leave my side to even be photographed. From the minute we walked in the room, Jerry was full of smiles. Jerry held out his arms to hold him and his warm, gentle manner won my son over.
The pictures from that day were superb and really captured his personality. Since that day, I fell in love with Jerry's work. I vowed that if I ever met my future husband, then he would be the man to photograph our wedding. Well, 9 years down the line, Jerry did just that! Jerry was extremely professional and lovely on the day. He put me and my hubby at ease.
The guest loved him too! Most of the time, I forgot he was even there as he was so busy capturing beautiful candid shots of our special day. We are now looking forward to booking a family shoot with Jerry, with out three wonderful boys.

When I first called Jerry From the phone call I could tell he had a great, fun, honest and professional attitude. And I'm not just saying this, it's ture. When Jerry arrived at our house he showed us his full photography range and explained each package. All this with honesty and a bit of humour too and not rushed or pressured. Jerry, I'm sure went above and beyond here when selling us his service.
But he needn't of done as he is so genuine. Our wedding day arrived and wow if Jerry was a conducted in a previous life if definitely showed on the day. He controlled 96 guests in order and timely for our amazing photos. Everyone was occupied and watching on as Jerry took ever photo with passion and accuracy. When we received our photos a week or so later wow wow unbelievable. Presented in a lovely photo album in a lovely nice box.
And layer in the box telling a story of our day as if Jerry knew us. Jerry is definitely not an average photographer he is by far out there with the elite. And a true gentleman too. Thank you.

I met Jerry around 15 years ago and have had several shoots with him over the years. Jerry always makes you feel at ease and always manages to find your best side and your personality. After having several individual shoots with him I didn't even need to look around to know he would be perfect as my wedding photographer. Recently, Jerry has photographed my son and the pictures are stunning. They really captured his cheekiness. I'm looking forward to booking another shoot with Jerry soon.
