I specialise in studio portraiture, from maternity and newborn through to children, family and pets. I came to Plymouth to study Photography at Plymouth College of Art and Design, way back in the late 70's, and never left! It is a beautiful place to live so close to the sea and moors. I started Moment in Time Photography when my daughters started school and have run the business from the studio for over 25 years. In the early years I specialised in weddings, photographing hundreds of weddings and even the second weddings for two previous brides and two grooms!

My love of dogs started at a young age. I was about 3 when my Dad took me into London and I saw a man selling puppies from a basket on a street corner at a Sunday market, I ran over and grabbed one only to be told NO by my Father, so I cried and cried until he said I could have one next time we came.
Babies this young need patience and experience, safety of the baby is paramount. I have trained with some of the best newborn baby photographers and trainers and will only use poses that are completely safe for baby. The studio is warm, comfortable and the session will be baby led. There is a large selection of blankets, hats, wraps and props that can be used in the sitting and you are welcome to bring your own.
Your tiny bundle who gripped your finger in the first few days will start to hold their head up, sit, smile, crawl and walk in such a short space of time. Their personality will start to shine through, make sure you document the changes. This is a time you cannot get back. The 'My First Year' experience is the ideal way to capture the changes with three sessions in a 12 month period.
Why not celebrate their first birthday with a photo shoot. Start in a party outfit, we will add some balloons and bunting, then change them into something that can get messy so they can attack the cake. We will then finish with a warm soapy bubble bath. I have lots of props and different backgrounds and can supply a basic cake but you are welcome to bring your own cake, balloons and bunting. Please have a chat about your ideas.
