I am still available for corporate portraits at clients' offices or on location, but sadly, after 34 years in Castle Street, my lease here has finally come to an end, and I regret to say that the studio in Castle Street is now permanently closed. Thank you to all of my loyal customers - I will really miss you. I have been based in the Guildford area for 34 years, working with individuals, families and corporate customers. I am still available for business portrait customers taking photographs at their offices or other locations, but the studio is now closed.
Services
Thank you so much for giving us such a beautiful memento of our wedding day. The photos are superb, the album a work of art and the service you have given us exemplary. Several of our friends have said they are the best wedding photos they've seen, which is the best recommendation. Thank you so much for capturing our special day so perfectly.

Back to Castle studios for updated passport pictures. Quick and cost effective service as always. Picture was easily uploaded for online application and immediately rated "good" which means the picture meets all the regulations and is most likely to be accepted. If you want a pain free experience go and see Malcolm and get it done right first time!

Really thrilled with my experience with Castle Studios. I called last minute to get a set of passport photos and Malcolm fit me in straight away. Thorough, efficient and professional service, with a few touches here and there (bye dark circles and bulbous pimple!) to give me a picture I'm happy to be stuck with for the next ten years! He also accepted Apple Pay which was an added bonus.

Read the only one star review and got completely the wrong impression. Malcolm was very friendly both on the phone and in person, and comparing the 12 Snappy Snaps passport photos with Malcolm's is like night and day. Very happy with the photos more than worth the small amount of extra money for the extra quality.

Needed passport photos for our 4 week old daughter. Happy snaps was closed for a refurb. After asking around, Castle Studios was the only place in town. They advertise they do passport photos. Having walked in the door the gentleman ignored us until I initiated conversation. After asking how much he charged for passport photos he said 15 for 4. My wife and I were taken aback, as this is VERY expensive.
I said that was too much and said I could do 10. He flatly refused and continued tapping on his computer. Having stood outside for 5 minutes with 2 screaming babies, Google advised me Harpers in Woking only charged 5.99 for the same service. I again suggested 10 given the Harpers price and he rudely refused. Due to the rude nature of this man, through principle I used my time, took family in my car to Woking, paid again for parking and used Harpers who were very pleasant and quick, and saved 9!
Unless your spending big money with them, just avoid. A VERY unfriendly man, I suggest not even getting in contact, there are far more friendly photographers in the area, such as LOVELIGHT, or Harpers for passport photos. Waste of time advertising you do simple passport photos if the price is more than double anywhere else and you arent well mannered enough to talk about the price. AVOID. Addative- his response below is what you would expect.
My wife and I BOTH were shocked by the ignorance and attitude of this man. I am indeed not awkward but do expect a certain level of service. I never write reviews but felt compelled to! Don't worry malcom, I won't be visiting again and nor should anyone! 5 star rated other photographers! (Ps I work in a very customer focused industry and one in which alot of patience is required!). Malcom as you can see takes pleasure in trying to personally attack a bad reviewer. Very pleasant man!

What a great photographer. Malcolm has done about 4 weddings in our family over the years. He can tie cravats, always has pins on hand and is ready for any eventuality. He seems to be in the best place at the right time to catch the most amusing and moving photos. Malcolm is also good for digital photographs from passports, to websites. Thanks Malcolm
